Ian Andrew McMurray is a 48 year old Chartered Accountant who started the practice as a single owner and one staff member in 1991 and after 21 years the practice grew to three partners and staff of 39. The sales and the client number of the firm have constantly increased. The firm developed a complete solutions approach for small and medium enterprises including the concept of the complete solution.
Ian studied at the University of Witwatersrand doing a B.Comm Accounting Degree, starting in 1984, which degree was done part time. Whilst studying he completed part time whilst doing articles. He then continued his studies at the University of South Africa completing an Honours degree in Accounting and also later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation. After completion of the Honours degree Ian completed the admission board exams to qualify as a CA (SA) and after passing was admitted as a CA (SA).
In 2002, Ian entered a programme with the University of South Queensland (Jhb campus) to complete a conversion course to facilitate qualification as a CPA in Australia.
In 2005 Ian Andrew and his colleagues established Intellectual Resources a company which would facilitate, assist and establish small businesses and grow African business for International companies.
