Diesel Masia was born in Malamulele and he grew up in Letaba Estate farm in Limpopo Province, South Africa. He was raised by his mother Moureen Tintswalo Maluleke together with his 5 brothers and sisters. He attended his primary schooling at Letaba Landgooed Primary School frorm standard A through to Standard 7 (currently known as grade 9), wherefore on completion he had to move to another school since Letaba Landgoed was only catering learners through to grade 9.
Diesel then moved to Hudson Ntswanwisi Senior Secondary School in Nkowankowa Location, which was a school mixed with learners from different backgrounds. He did his grade 10 in 2000 and 2001 where he failed twice. It was during this time that his mother got retrenched in the farm and ultimately were evicted and his family had to resort to stay in Lusaka squatter camps near Nkowankowa.
Life became so worse because he had to go to school sometimes even without food, having to be teased for staying in Squatter camps by his class mates who had proper clothing, lunch boxes and good sleeping environment. The thing he remembers the most was sleeping on the floor in a Shack room without a window, which was a bedroom, kitchen and a store room at the same time. He was a young man who was motivated by his dreams that one day he will become something better in life. He continued being in the forefront of media Platforms at Hudson Ntsanwisi, despite laughter and teasing which he received from class mates. He finally joined LoveLife which became a home of motivation for him at the age of 18, 19 and 20 years.
He moved to Green farm village at Malamulele, where he did his grade 11 and 12 at PP Hlungwani High School and he became the President of the SRC. Diesel’s career as a speaker started in 2005 (when his mommy was cashless afford him finance to pursue his tertiary education in law degree) at Love Life as a trained Ground Breaker specializing with SUCCESS MOTIVATION in and around the Love Life Clinics and surrounding High Schools in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province.
2006 he was “GRACED” to be afforded little monies generated through his “Mommy’s Spaza shop” to pursue a law degree at the University of Venda, wherein he continued to “MOTIVATE”- “INSPIRE”- “COACH” thousands of University students.
Diesel’s motivations and his presentation inspires people to step out of their comfort zones and embrace change with a positive attitude in order to discover what’s possible for them. Today Diesel is an epitome of peak performance in the area of motivation. His motivational messages are aired weekly on various media houses in South Africa.
